This engaging, game-changing role is within the Siemens Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) business in Warwick. This critical, autonomous position will focus on managing product costs.

In just a few short years, our business has grown to be a €700million global business, focusing on the supply and support of aero-derivative gas turbine packages and equipment to the global oil & gas and power generation markets. The business has supplied over 4,000 gas turbines to customers in over 80 countries, accumulating over 200 million hours of operating experience.

By expertly managing a robust target costing programme, you will ensure that Siemens is able to manufacture cost-competitive products. And you will focus on two distinct areas:

  1. Driving cost out of the business, working within all areas of AGT, and closely collaborating with the Head of Global Supply Chain Management to create new work streams
  2. Reviewing and advising on target costings, building solid, long-standing relationships with all internal partners/stakeholders

This is your role. What part will you play?

  • Support establishment of cost targets that are directly associated with the product lifecycle
  • Report on current/actual product lifecycle cost (continual cost monitoring & margin slippage)
  • Forecast of future (minimum 3 year) product lifecycle cost including savings gained from cost out activities and cost increases due to unforeseen / emerging issues
  • Identify/Evaluate cost reductions; Track cost reduction (via PRIOneer and One PUMA Web)
  • Maintain/Develop Product Cost Board, enabling agreement on costs to use for future project bids, agreement on project budget changes, & prioritization of Cost-out opportunities
  • Communicate cost structure changes to Cost Owners, MK&S, and Project Execution
  • Support achievement of €21m/yr Cost-Out Target (Facilitate monthly steering committee, etc.)

  • Demonstrable experience in Engineering / Supply Chain or Overhaul Shop Operations
  • Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment, & comfortable working autonomously
  • Diplomatic, approachable, with superior networking and relationship-building skills

  • Aeroderivative gas turbine knowledge/Experience leading continuous improvement projects would be advantageous but not essential
