Summary
Job description
Through separation of powers, provide authority to legally commit the business to contracts for sale within boundaries of delegation. Ensure all activities are on contract and established correctly within the business in order for payment to occur.
Hold a delegated Sales Commercial Licence to enter into legally binding contractual commitments on behalf of the Secretary of Defence for UK MoD.

Responsibilities
1. Create and roll out of sales contracting strategy for both MOD and Commercial customers, ensuring the separation of powers
2. Deliver the lead contract member role in bid teams. Accountable for identifying risks, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies (AEDs)
3. Draft, negotiate and agreement of contractual Terms, Conditions and pricing structures ensuring all objectives are met
4. Maintain a Contractual Sales audit trail to Comply with guidelines and industry standards
5. Monitor and ensure the operational delivery of the strategic goals of DECA and MOD as detailed in the Corporate Plan
6. Provide contractual recommendations, clarification and direction to internal colleagues
7. Provide recommendation and decisions for bids, invoicing issues, and the interpretation of contracts and statements of work both inside and outside of delegation licence boundaries. Negotiate, agree, monitor KPI’s. KPI management & reporting including validate, evaluate and optimise performance
8. Within the boundaries of Contract Sales Commercial delegation licence of £50,000:

Management of contract administration
9. Lead negotiator of new contracts and final authority on price negotiation and agreement
10. Development and enhance relationships with new and existing customers in the pursuit of new business
11. To provide day to day Functional Control of Contracts within our ERP System
12. Develop yearly pricing schedules with MOD Contracts
13. Purchase order acceptances electronically (utilising Portal access Exostar) and hard copy, for MOD and Commercial Customers

* Great communication skills and the ability to maintain collaborative relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
* Be a self-starter, confident with decision making and be able to work independently and as part of a team
