The ambitious business has plans to launch additional products and services, and the company is looking to bring in new skills within the team to help make this happen.

The Role – Sales Account Executive (B2B)

As a Sales Account Executive you will take a proactive approach to developing existing and new client relationships, identifying and securing new business. You will also work closely with the Group Sales Manager and company appointed external sales and marketing professionals to deliver your duties which will include:

  • Acting as a key contact between the company and customers
  • Analysing the customer support case history and identifying upselling opportunities
  • Following up on warm leads to generate new business opportunities
  • Demonstrating Redthorn products and services to existing and potential new customers
  • Monitoring key competitors and ensuring Redthorn remains ahead of the game
  • Ensuring the CRM always remains up-to-date
  • Working closely with external marketing professionals to drive the Marketing strategy across all relevant platforms
  • Suggesting actions to improve sales performance and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Updating email mailing lists and driving targeted e-mail campaigns
  • Working closely with external design and marketing team to create impactful marketing material

  • A salary of up to £30,000, plus sales performance incentive with OTE up to £42,000

You’ll be employed on a permanent contract, working 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Location: Preston, Lancashire (easy access from the M6). As you develop within the role, some travel to client sites will be required, circa. 5-10 days per month.

 

Skills and Experiences

  • Proven experience working within business-to-business sales (B2B) and account management, ideally gained within the advanced engineering sector
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical information, and be able to clearly articulate complex information to potential and existing clients
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability and desire to increase sales
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and develop strong working relationships
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative, whilst working as part of a small office team
  • IT literate and possess timely and accurate data entry skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Although not essential, a technical/engineering background and experience selling software in the B2B market would be ideal, as would basic knowledge of MRP / ERP software and process improvement applications.
