Products & Services:
We design, develop and manufacture high quality off the shelf and bespoke fully composite structures and components for remotely piloted aircraft. All produced in Wales.
Customers come to us with anything from an idea or a quick sketch to a fully formed CAD design and then we use a mixture of methods to design, develop and deliver the airframes. Whether it’s using 5 axis machining, laser cutting, 3d printing or hot wire cutting and shaping by hand, we have the skills to make their idea a reality.
We’ve been involved in making composite airframes for RC Jets and scale models for many years, so we know a bit (well quite a lot) about what goes into the airframe to make them structurally sound and fly safely. Founded by Paul Lewis with years of experience in motorsport and project management, he is able to offer a unique insight into the production of either series airframes or bespoke and one off aircraft.
Market experience:
We have now moved away from the r/c hobby side and now exclusively work with UAV companies and make parts and airframes for UAV operators. We have also developed our own UAV’s and also give advice and guidance to UAV operators on choice of airframe and construction.
Key equipment and processes:
We offer all the services from design through to a fully flying UAV. Moulding methods include wet layup, vacuum and resin infusion. We can work from simple drawings or CAD models and have access to 5 axis machines when needed. We have in house 3d printing, CNC mill and laser cutting.
We have been operating from an industrial unit in Raglan but as projects have got bigger and the amount of work has increased we have just moved into a (much!) larger unit near Pontypool.
