Summary

This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years with a potential of extension and/or permanency.

The Defence electronics & Components Agency (DECA) is seeking to recruit experienced procurement professionals to join a team based at Sealand, Deeside , North Wales, but predominately working from home or remotely to the office, for which a laptop and mobile phone will be provided.

DECA is an Executive Agency of the MOD, which provided UK armed forces support across defence on military platforms such as F35, Typhoon, Lynx, Chinook and the new QE 11 Aircraft Carriers.

Job description

As a Procurement Manager in DECA and an MOD Civil Servant, you will be supporting the UK Armed Forces by procuring equipment and services as part of a multi-function team. Responsibilities

Procurement Managers are accountable for delivering 0pre-sourcing/sourcing and contract management within the acquisition programme in accordance with Acquisition Support Guidance (ASG) Commercial Toolkit, UK/EU Procurement regulations, project timescales and applicable KPI’s.

Pre-sourcing/Sourcing, Conduct competitive and sole source processes from pre-sourcing mark analysis to placement of contracts with varying levels of complexity to Cat D(<£10M).

Contract Management – Management of a portfolio of contracts with a varying degree of complexity at Cat D (<£10M).

Appointee is required to attain qualifications, functional competence, licence, certification as required within 12 months against DECA agreed targets.
