The Aerospace Wales Forum was established in March 2002 as a member based industry representative organisation and is the trade body in Wales for the Aerospace, Defence and Space industries. The company is now part of Industry Wales which also includes the Welsh Automotive Forum and Technology Connected. These organisations are funded by their member companies, their commercial activities and Welsh Government.
Aerospace Wales now wishes to appoint a Business Development Manager with responsibility for the delivery of key services to our member companies and the wider sector. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
- The delivery of Aerospace Wales services to members
- Liaison with existing members and recruitment of new members
- Collating and providing specialist knowledge to key stakeholders
- Delivery of key events, including member meetings, Board meetings and the Forum’s participation in trade shows, both in the UK and overseas.
- Assisting in the development of new commercial and funding opportunities.
The Forum is therefore searching for an outstanding individual possessing a number of the following characteristics:
- Experience of the Aerospace, Defence & Space sectors
- A self-starter with a successful track record in industry, the public sector or academia with willingness to travel throughout Wales, the UK and overseas.
- Excellent communications skills, including social media.
- Knowledge of government agencies and funding processes.
The position is being considered on a full time or part time basis and salary will be commensurate with skills and experience.
