Cardiff Airport has ambitious plans for expansion over the next twenty years and in support of their aspirations they have engaged with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to explore the feasibility of establishing a major aeronautical institute at the airport.
The University, which has its headquarters in Florida, has established a number of campuses around the world and is keen to engage with academic institutions and aerospace companies across Wales to explore potential partnerships.
Following a successful event in South Wales, they are keen to hold a similar open forum and round table discussion in North Wales where you will have the opportunity to learn more of the University’s plans and also to provide an input on what the new institution should be offering to our aerospace and technology community in Wales. The discussion will be chaired by John Whalley, CEO of Aerospace Wales.
The event will take place on Monday 14 October at Coleg Cambria, Kelsterton Road, Connah’s Quay, Deeside CH5 4BR. Registration will open at 9.30 and the event will take place from 10.00 to 12.30, culminating in a networking lunch. There will also be an opportunity for a tour of the training facilities.
Please register your intention to attend with Derfel.Jones@gov.wales by Thursday 10th October.
